Sweet pepper with examples of a butterfly, chryslais and caterpillar, from an album of 91 drawings entitled 'Merian's Drawings of Surinam Insects &c'; the plant bearing red and green peppers. Watercolour and bodycolour, heightened with white, and with pen and grey ink, on vellum.
