Description

Monument with bust of John Speed; a half-length effigfy of John Speed is set into an ornately carved windowlike frame, flanked by two panels bearing an inscription, the figure is dressed in Elizabethan style, with a ruff, under his right hand is a book, and below his left hand resting on the sill of the frame is a skull. Watercolour with bodycolour over graphite.
