Description

ROX974. In his 'Flora Indica', Roxburgh describes this plant as an annual and diffuse species, native of marshy areas around Calcutta. It appears and flowers during the rains. Roxburgh also notes that the parts of this plant under water, are swelled like those of 'A. paludosa Roxb.'
