Description

Drawing room with grand chandelier over a desk in the centre, windows with swags of blue fabric above at left and the same covering sofas against the right wall, paintings hanging on the walls and a large mirror above the mantelpiece at right; after Charles Wild, illustration to Pyne's 'the History of the Royal Residences', published in three volumes, proof before letters. 1816. Hand-coloured etching and aquatint.

Inscription: Inscribed in ink below image at left: "Drawn by the Revd. Rd. Cattermole B.a" (the initials written over in black ink, unclear what they the alteration is)
