Description

Portrait of an Arabian; painting mounted onto an album folio, Bside. Shown wearing a robe with black and white vertical stripes over a pale blue short-sleeved garment. Red trousers, yellow shoes, gold belt and buttons, red cap in a black turban with a gold, blue and red cloth around it. Wide sleeved undergarment. Orange tulip cut-outs on either side. Inscribed. Album contains sixty folios with fifty-nine paintings of figures, and additional découpages, including floral and vegetal decoration in some margins. Ink and opaque watercolour, with découpage on paper. Album covered with green leather.
