Description

The Jura was built by J&G Thomson, Glasgow in 1854 for the Cunard Line. It was launched on June 27, 1854; became a Crimean War transport. The Allan Line purchased the Jura in late 1861, early 1862, and performed Liverpool-Canada runs. On November 3, 1864 the Jura was wrecked in the River Mersey.
Item is glued to a secondary support; the support is hinged to a tertiary support and has a window mat.
