Description

Clifton, The old garden and Sundial

Inscription

In ink on front, lower left: " "Clifton" / The old garden. / and Sundial." Written in ink on reverse: "(During the Woodworths occupation.) / Looking from what was the Library window of the late Judge Thomas Chandler Haliburton's home "Clifton," Windsor, N.S., and in the distance the broken sundial stands. This ground was once part of his garden. On the Lawn, at the present front of the house, another sundial in better condition stands but lacks the metal time piece, which I have never seen. / Annie L.
