Description

Today, 'Ulvig' is known as 'Ulvik'. Robert Elwes records in his 1853 journal "we went to see the church a few yards behind the house. It was very old and the door posts and sides apparently much older than the rest were carved in the Runic style with entwined snakes. At the corner of each pew was the top of a young fir tree with the branches, to hang hats on."
