Destruction of the French Frigates Arianne & Andromache 22nd May 1812. Page 161

Artist

Description

Technique includes pen and ink. The high quaility suggests rather than being 'after' that it is a watercolour version by Whitcombe, possibly for making the print from the oil then in possession of Henry Hotham, captain of the 'Northumberland' (right).
Additional Makers: British School (19th Century)
