Description

Dunning's Alley showing "Lucky Bobs" formerly "Duke of Wellington" 152, Bishopsgate Without. Original drawing by J. T. Wilson 1868 from the Gardner Collection. Dunning's Alley was immediately opposite the Bishopsgate Institute. The Alley and the buildings seen in this watercolour were demolished to accommodate the expansion of Liverpool Street Station.

Inscription reads: [above shopfronts] Lucky Bobs Wine Merchant / City Flour Depot J. Lemmier & Son Family Milles.
