View of boat passing over an inclined plane, near Ning Po; a Chinese barge tilted up on a gravelled slope and preparing to descend the slope on the other side into the water in the foreground, with men turning large winches on set up on the bank to either side, others in three boats moored in front in the right forergound and houses in the background. 1798. Hand-coloured soft-ground etching and aquatint.
