Description

(Drawn on) May 23, 1870.  Mill built 1683, taken down May 1870.  The oldest mill around Philadelphia built 1683 near [illegible].
Roberts’ grist mill, built in 1683 at Mill Street (Church Lane) and Wingohocking Street in Philadelphia, is considered to have been the oldest grist mill in Pennsylvania.
