Description

Inscribed: "The Giants Causeway Sept 1882".
This watercolour/drawing forms part of a dark green/grey leather sketchbook with textured surface and grey/black spine. Remnants of elastic fastening. Cream label inside front cover reading ‘ Arthur Ackermann manufacturer of watercolours and artists materials to her majesty and the royal family… ’. Contains various watercolours including sea/cliff scene viewed through a stone opening, a mountain village scene and a white/purple pansy. Subjects depicted are Northern Ireland (dated 1882), Alps and Durham Cathedral.
