Description

Mount Taranaki to the right in the middle distance with a wooden valley in the foreground with fenced clearings. The names Kahikitea and Matuitaura are no longer in use in the Taranaki area, but the Regiment was between Waitara and New Plymouth in mid-October 1864. Possibly the Sentry Hill area.
