Description

Watercolour illustration commissioned by William Roxburgh. ROX643.

In his 'Flora Indica', Roxburgh describes this species as a small, delicate and evergreen plant; native of Persia, but common throughout India. According to Roxburgh, in the Botanic garden at Calcutta it is in flower the greater part of the year.
