Description

Landscape drawing shows men fishing off the pier, perhaps on Staten Island, looking across New York Harbor. Sailboats dot the water. Below the image, on the mount, various locations are identified in the drawing: the spire of Trinity Church from across the water, the Battery with Castle Clinton on the waterfront, Governor's Island with its fortress, the Narrows, and the wood pile.
