Description

Watercolour Drawing showing the Isle of Wight Volunteers, whose barracks were at Parkhurst, lined up on parade in either St James's Square or High Street, Newport, Isle of Wight by Thomas Rowlandson. Isle of Wight Tour 1780s or 1790s. 'With pencil inscription 'Newport' lower centre on the mount. Pencil, pen and grey ink on a grey and green wash-line mount.'
