Description

Unfinished sketch of one of the old pubs of Tottenham High Road called The Old Plough Inn (number 474 High Road, nearly opposite the junction of Bruce Grove). The Plough Inn building had been one of the oldest standing on the High Road, dating from 1537. It lasted, set back off the road, until 1891 when the building was demolished and a new pub building was erected. The sketch is one of a series of fifteen of the Tottenham area.
