In the foreground there are two individuals standing next to a boat on the opposite shore from the castle. A body of water separates them from the castle and there are two boats on the water. The castle is along the shore on a ridge; the exterior of the castle is partially covered with a green plants. Paul Sandby executed a similar view of Pembroke Castle.
