Marine painting in pastel & watercolour titled (blc) on mat in ink. "Purcell's Cove/Halifax,N.S." signed (brc) on mat in ink "A. M. Hagen" foreground-cove, water & boat at anchor. Middle distance-house & wharf on shore of cove. Spectacle Island. Background-paint pleasant park & sky

Inscription

Written in pencil on lower right of watercolour: "Purcels [sic] Cove Halifax / A.M. Hagen. 1900 + [indecipherable]." Chalk writing on back of frame sugests "1890," amidst other curatorial notes.
