Watercolour of a small sailboat, entering Halifax Harbour by the eastern passage harbour with load of hay. to the left of the ship is the shore line of Mcnabs island; in the distance to the left is the citadel. Signed under edge of frame J ? t; may be a later addition.

Initials "G[?]J" in lower right corner (museum notes suggest could be a "later addition."
