A pen and ink and watercolour drawing of two ladies on the terrace of Old Somerset House. One figure seated on low wall on the right. The River Thames and St Paul's Cathedral in the background. Inscribed below on the modern mount, possibly copied from an earlier one 'In Somerset House Gardens'. Sandby settled in London from 1752.
