A watercolour drawing of Windsor Castle, seen fron the south-east from Spital Hill. The Castle occupies the skyline; fields and trees are in the foreground. At the left, a man on horseback is herding cattle and sheep. On the right a man is walking in the fields. Inscribed on the back 'Windsor. View of the Castle and Town from the Spital Hill'. Mounted with a grey wash border, and inscribed on the mount in pencil in large letters associated with the dealer Colnaghi, 'Windsor Castle. Paul Sandby'.
