Description

English translations by Mr. William Affo. This is one of a group of watercolours and drawings produced by Robert Elwes recording scenes witnessed on his world tour (1848-1850). These form the basis of printed illustrations for his travelogue 'A Sketcher's Tour Round the World', published 1854.
