Description

Watercolour of landscape with figures boats & water. In foreground, Hill, roadway with 1 male & 2 females talking (mi'kmaq), trees along way. In middle distance, village down road in distance, on shore of waterway. Water, large river or inlet with 3 boats. In background, hills on both sides of waterway & sky.

Inscription

Part of a seal stamped into upper right corner. On back of watercolour is a curator note: "Possibly painted Eliz. Ladds Cira. [sic.] 1860s."
