Description

Carrick ferry, near Wexford; view looking up the river Slaney at sunset, to the left a ruined tower of Carrick Castle on a crag, round the foot of which a road with figures leads to the shore, the ferry-boat approaches a shore carrying people and animals, another boat further away is being rowed to a sloop, to the right, a steep bank with trees and a path with figures. 1801. Bodycolour, with watercolour.
