Entrance to Tlos, Lycia; two sides of a broken arch frame a view of the valley leading to a hill, beyond which rise the snowy peaks of Massicytus, a Turkish woman and child stand on the path near the foreground, at left part of a modern dwelling, at right blocks of masonry, one bearing a Greek inscription. 1844.
