Watercolour painting on paper of Gossypium hirsutum, also known as Upland Cotton. The painting shows a stem of the plant with numerous dark green leaves. Two yellow and red flowers and two boll (seed capsules) are also shown. Areas of the painting have been burnished to give a three-dimensional quality to the painting. The painting is from an album of 58 botanical paintings.
