Portrait of a Naval Officer; half-length, slightly to right, his right hand inside his coat, the left on his hip, wearing a bob-wig, full-skirted coat with deep cuffs, waistcoat and shirt frilled at the wrists, in an oval, within an elaborately scrolled border with cannon and flags, at the foot, a cartouche with a naval engagement. Graphite, with watercolour, on vellum.
