Description

Watercolour painting on paper of Psidium guajava, an evergreen shrub or small tree commonly referred to as the apple guava or common guava. The painting shows a stem of the plant with numerous dark green leaves, some of which are damaged. The stem also bears a green fruit and three white flowers. Areas of the painting have been burnished to give a three-dimensional quality to the painting. The painting is from an album of 58 botanical paintings.
