Description

Watercolour painting on ivory of two women playing instruments. The women are both seated, wearing lavish clothing and jewellery at their necks, arms and ears. One plays a pair of drums, the other holds a sārangī. In the background on the left, is a column and a hanging textile and in the far distance on the right is a landscape with a river and palm trees.
