Description

Watercolour copied from the astronomical ceiling of the burial chamber of Pharaoh Sety I's tomb, Luxor ('Baedecker room 10b'). Shows the right hand side of the top register of the ceiling decoration. Fourteen columns filled with hieroglyphs. Depicts (left to right); The Khenmu (Stars); The Guides, The Star in the Middle of the Ship, The Sapty of Khenuy (Ship); The Red One of Khenett, The Lower Khenett, The Upper Khenett; The Forerunner of Khenett; The Two Pregnant Ones; The Two Wesha-birds; The Lower Tjemat; The Upper Tjemat; The End of Djat; The Beginning of Djat; Carrier of the Tail of Kenmut; Kenmut; and The Forerunner of Kenmut.
