This watercolour/drawing forms part of a dark green/grey sketchbook with textured cover and darker spine containing a mixture of sketches and watercolours of various themes. Written in pencil on the inside jacket is ‘Mentone 7th November 1867’. The first watercolour shows seashore scene with inscription in bottom left corner: 'Mentone 7th Nov 1867’. Also contains three loose postcard-sized sketches of houses.
