Description

A village fair; a street with numerous figures, including many drinking heavily and dancing to a fiddler outside an Inn to left, a theatrical performance on an open stage to right, a man on horseback and a woman with a wheelbarrow below, with stalls and a church spire beyond, at centre a lady and gentleman in conversation. Bodycolour, with watercolour, strengthened with gum.
