Watercolour mounted on page 110 of H.J. Moule "Dorset Vol.2". Courtyard of a large stone house with a decorated Norman arched doorway. there are two storeys above the doorway with three-light windows on both floors. The whole projects from the main building. A low thatched building is attached to the house on the left of the image. A stand mounted barrel is in the courtyard in the foreground with four hens and a cockerel. Inscriptions: [on mount bottom left] "Friars' Main" / [on mount bottom middle] "altered" / [on mount bottom right] "Finished Sketch".
