Second of two watercolours mounted on page 4 of H.J. Moule "In France 1857". Evening scene in a clearing in a wood. A large decorated tent with seated diners inside, outside (to the left of the image) there is a large brazier over which meat is cooking on a spit. Two people are standing near the brazier, people are approaching the fire form either side of the image. Inscriptions: [on mount bottom left] "Restaurant. Fete des Loges".
