Description

Landscape with a steep, rocky cliff on the left, along which a caravan with soldiers and elephants and men on horseback, are passing, through a cut in the mountain, with a tree-covered, rocky cliff on the right, water on the right and a man on horseback with two soldiers on the sandy shore in the left foreground; after Anburey; one of a set of twelve views. 1799. Hand-coloured aquatint and etching.
