Description

View of the snow-capped Wetterhorn which dominates the composition; a glacier flows down from the valley on the right to the foot of the mountain in the centre; in the foreground is a small group a trees; in the immediate left hand foreground is a group of four peasants and a child, one holding a rake; around them is a large group of cows and some goats; a small chalet down the hill in the far right foreground. Aquatint with hand-colouring.
