The Cuarto Real de Santo Domingo is at 13th century mansion, known by the Nasrids as the Huerta Grande de la Almanxarra, which was turned over to the Santo Domingo Order to house a convent. The complex included an orchard garden and various structures including a qubba or shrine with a fountain and pond outside. This image also depicts a planted trellis.
