Description

Watercolour illustration commissioned by William Roxburgh. ROX1561. In his 'Flora Indica', Roxburgh describes this plant as an annual species, native of Nepal. Roxburgh also notes that, in the Botanic garden at Calcutta, this species flowers around the beginning of the hot season. Roxburgh, 'Flora Indica' (1832) v.2, p.521.
