Watercolour illustration commissioned by William Roxburgh. ROX1129.
In his 'Flora Indica', Roxburgh describes this plant as a twining species, found on ponds in Bengal, during the cold and hot season. The drawing is on laid paper watermarked 'J. WHATMAN 1794'.
