Description

Contents: "Probably depicts the Grose River situated near the base of Grose Head, at the first significant set of boulders near the junction of the river with Burralow Creek. If so, the eminence in the middle of the watercolour is Paterson Hill.
An early interpretation of a wild colonial landscape as a work of art, it is perhaps the earliest surviving depiction of a Blue Mountains view."
