Johnson's son James Bovell states that another son, John William Augustus was born 20 March 1846 and died 30 June 1848, adding "see picture of funeral" (held 1 July 1848). Opened 1842 on the s. side of Bloor St. E., between Church & Jarvis Sts., the building was moved in 1861 to the n. side of Bloor St., in present Bay St., and called St. Paul's chapel-of-ease until 1871 when it became the Church of the Redeemer (1861-1879).
