Description

This drawing depicts the Collegiate Church at Crichton, which is located in the village of Crichton, in Midlothian. The name of the artist has not been included. William Crichton, the Lord Chancellor of Scotland, founded Crichton Collegiate Church in 1449. Located close to the remnants of Crichton Castle, the church is in memory of St Kentigern, St Mungo and St Mary. The church's original design was unusual because it had no nave. They restored it in 1898
