Description

Two light green moths in flight, shown with pupa and caterpillar. According to artist's notes 'Taken on the Preneinthis Virgata mx (the root of which is said to cure the bite of a snake) but is most frequent on Dog fennel. Went into the ground 2nd Octr., bred middle of Septr following. Is common round the sides of some of the ponds in the inland parts'.
