Watercolour illustration commissioned by William Roxburgh. ROX1362.
In his 'Flora Indica', Roxburgh notes that this species is a native of Pulo Pinang, Sumatra and Malacca. He observes that 'Gambier is the Malay name of an extract, prepared from the leaves of this plant.' This is an unnumbered drawing.
