Description

Watercolour illustration commissioned by William Roxburgh. ROX932. Roxburgh reports in his 'Flora Indica', that this species 'Grows on low, rich, uncultivated ground, and generally on the banks of rivers and watercourses.' Originally as 'C.lineatum Roxb.' but Roxburgh has changed the name to 'C. zeylanicum' in the Kew Manuscript. Roxburgh, 'Flora Indica' (1832) v.2, p.139.
