Description

View of a fortified harbour town with a large battlemented building to right and several ships on the sea which sweeps in from the left and across the middle ground, seen from the opposite shore where an officer on horseback in the right foreground is talking to a group of soldiers, some of whom prepare to fire a field gun; after Willyams. 1796. Coloured etching and aquatint with hand-colouring.
