Inscribed below: "View from the Gemini, July 18th" ; inscribed above "Monte Rosa, Brunighorn [Brunegghorn], Weisshorn, Zinal, [Matterhorn?] Dent d' Perroc".
This is a page from a sketchbook of Swiss and French Alpine scenes, dated summer 1855. The inside cover bears the inscription: "Presented to the Alpine Club by GR de Beer Nov 1955". The artist is unknown.
