Description

Two birds of the bird-of-paradise species, from an album of 79 drawings entitled 'Roberts's Drawings of Plants, Birds, Shells &c. Vol. I'; one in the foreground with deep red plumage, white underneath, the other pale orange plumage, both with long tail feathers with green at the tips. Watercolour and bodycolour, on vellum.
